Higher Peaks Racing

After a successful race in 2023, we are excited to announce the Canandaigua Mile 2024: a competitive one-mile running race in the heart of Canandaigua. This event will showcase our local businesses and raise awareness for water quality in Canandaigua Lake. Our business district plays a vital role in our small town economy, and Canandaigua Lake has experienced increased occurrences of harmful algae blooms in recent decades. These blooms have produced toxins, impaired drinking water, and reduced local tourism. We are hosting a one-mile running race, a post-race party with our sponsors and a lakeside cleanup to bring together our community.
